A Head Full of Bees is a show for grown-ups about ADHD. A solo character comedy with original music and puppets. Expect Sesame Street meets The Exorcist.

Lola is a hot mess, a hairdresser just about holding it together, but she’s been thumping against the walls of life, all her life and wonders; ‘What the f*ck is wrong with me?’

Join Lola and her ‘Shame Parrot’ on a journey through an ultra right-wing religious childhood in 70’s LA to 90’s London to a utopian 2030. Utopian in part due to a a certain Space-X rocket misfortune… Part political commentary, part comedy musical, part neurodiversity tutorial, part puppet show. A Head Full of Bees is a raw, messy and honest look at being a weirdo in the world.

Writer and performer Lela Bergeron, who has a 30 year career as a voice artist, has worked exclusively with a young, neurodivergent team, to create a pastel coloured traumedy with 6 original, catchy songs sure to make you laugh, cringe, cry and laugh again. A Head Full of Bees is a show about the sometimes dark stuff in life with a joyful, hopeful heart.

You can catch A Head Full of Bees at theatre at C ARTS | C venues | C alto until August 30th (not the 17th) from 17:00 (60mins). Tickets are available through the EdFringe Online Box Office.
