Hey there, beautiful humans!

Can you believe we’re still living in a world where creativity supposedly has an expiry date? I’m here to dispel that myth. At over 70, I’m bringing my fourth show to Edinburgh Fringe, and honestly, I’m just beginning my most fearless work yet.

Tales From Your Queer Elder is the show we all need right now. While many of us spend time apologising for taking up space, I’m living proof that authenticity becomes easier with age, not harder. This isn’t just a sweet story about ageing. It’s a radical celebration of senior dancers, queer elders, and plus-size performers who refuse to be invisible.

I’ve been systematically working through decades of creative evolution, and here’s what I want you to know: every “flaw” you’re trying to hide today turns into your superpower tomorrow. Are you plus-sized? That’s not something to overcome. It’s something to celebrate. Being queer? That’s your lens for creating more honest, necessary art.

Through movement and spoken word, I explore the silent secrets we all recognise but never name, the beautiful defiance of living authentically at any age, and the enduring presence of those we’ve loved. These aren’t just “elder” themes – they’re universal truths you’re grappling with right now.

Time has gifted me with the most incredible freedom: the freedom to stop caring about other people’s limitations and to start celebrating my own unique story. Come witness what happens when someone finally stops apologising for existing.

Your queer elder is here to inspire your next creative breakthrough.

You can catch Tales From Your Queer Elder from on August 1st, 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 9th, 11th, 13th, 15th and 16th at Lime Studio at Greenside @ George Street from 16:10 (50mins). Tickets (£14 / £10 conc. / £7 preview / 2FOR 1 August 4th) are available through the EdFringe Online Box Office.
