Forget Me. is a tale wrapped in a crocheted blanket, told by a dancer who weaves it through her body, into a poetry of invented words, mime, explosive movement expression and games of shadow and light.

In the cold pungent breath of reality, she unfolds four mysterious characters. A grandmother who bakes a cake over and over again, pulling ingredients out of her body. The sun who comes down from the sky to bake the cake, but never stays to warm up the cold and pungent reality. Two storytellers attempt telling the story of the grandmother, the guardian of the realm of storytelling and a frog with eyes in its mouth. However, the grandmother steps beyond the words they use to tell her story: through a cascade of emotions she reaches out to the audience beyond the realm of logic, into a space of emotional empathy, where the body expresses and the body receives.

The dancer wants to open a space of reflection: Forget Me. revendates the power of storytelling to awaken emotions, giving voice to the unheard, empowering the oppressed, preserving memory and advocating for change. Contrary to the title, the piece is a call to not forget, to remember, to notice, to be moved, to create connection, to stir emotions and dare to dive into each other. In a reality where we accept injustice as a nuance of the day, what can still bring change? Do stories and acts of care still hold such a power?
