REVIEW: FUCCBOIS: LIVE IN CONCERT, House of Oz and Soft Tread Enterprises, EdFringe 2026 ★★★★★

An utterly outstanding hour of live music and comedy, with camp chaos and excellent satirical analysis of misogyny and fuckboy culture.

FUCCBOIS: LIVE IN CONCERT is a live concert from everyone’s favourite band, FUCCBOIS, their final concert together as a band before they separate, and there will be no encore. With the antics of toxic masculinity, a female producer who is sick of their shit, and jaw dropping live vocals, will the band reclaim the term fuckboy in the name of feminism, or fall apart trying.

The performances of this piece are absolutely stunning, with Megan Walshe as Tyler, Bridie Connell as Brandon, Vidya Makan as Brendan and Clara Harrison as Also Brendan, depicting a perfect parody of hit boybands from the 90s and 2000s. Alongside them stars Blazey Best as their producer Micaela, who provides a refreshing presence as the woman who fights for her life holding together their chaos. The music is unique while still feeling nostalgic and familiar and creates an environment that truly turns the lecture hall venue into Wembley station. It is polished and sharp and deeply funny, with lyrics such as “Girl I know it dulls your sparkle, you’ve been living in a world that’s patriarchal” and “If I ever use the gaslight and you start to feel annoyed, well I never used the gaslight maybe you’re just paranoid” which so perfectly tap into the humour of the piece. The entire show is effortlessly funny in a way that catches you off guard and never loses this pace, with songs that never feel repetitive. The entire album is on spotify and I have had it on repeat since I left the theatre, it is truly fantastic.

The band is fighting to reclaim the term Fuckboy, and in the process are absolutely proving that they as individuals fit those stereotypes, they are, inherently, awful people, and I loved them so much. This show is not only a deeply immersive live concert experience, but a joyous critique of toxic masculinity, and it exceeds expectations in every capacity.

FUCCBOIS: LIVE IN CONCERT is the concert you have been waiting for, queue outside for hours in the rain to get a barrier position to see the FUCCBOIS in all their glory.

Recommended Drink: A FUCCBOIS reusable cup with a straw that will never truly be clean, filled with your concert drink of choice, handwash only.

Performances of FUCCBOIS: LIVE IN CONCERT has now concluded at EdFringe 2026.
