REVIEW: Magic vs Burlesque, Arron Jones & Fou Fou Kaboom / PBH’s Free Fringe, EdFringe 2026 ★★★★

A woman wearing a pink corset, holds a magicians cane in a young man's mouth as he holds playing cards behind a red background.

If you had to choose… tits or tricks? Regardless, you’ll leave feeling like a winner!

Rockstar magician Arron Jones and burlesque marvel Fou Fou Kaboom, real life lovers, pit their art forms against each other. Magic vs Burlesque is a masterclass in showmanship! Arron and Fou Fou expose how thin the line is between spectacle and seduction; prepare to be gagged and strapped.

If you want to feel like a contestant (or voyuer) in a daytime quiz show, then Magic vs Burlesque is the right kind of melodramatic fun you’re looking for!

The duo clevelry use contemporary parodies to situate their brazen, sharp commentary. For any newbies, a Burlesque Airways safety video declares a “no wank zone” setting the tone: a little filthy yet fully self-aware. From a game of Dicktionary with strap-ons to Name Than Porn, we descended into playful frenzy as the scoreboard grew.

A pair on par, so the stakes are felt and the world-class entertainment never stops as they flip between. Fou Fou stuns with a gorgeous red-do in 50s glamour, who has the audience like putty in her hands with black feathers and yolky fans. Arron dazzles us right in front of our eyes, keeping us on our own toes, trading quips, never letting the energy dip.

The real winner is the magical pairing of these talented performers.  It may get freaky but Magic vs Burlesque is a main show.

Recommended Drink: Dirty Martini.

Performances of Magic vs Burlesque have now concluded at EdFringe 2026.
