The original score encapsulates experiences that Izzy has always found impossible to put into words. She discovered she could sing far more things than she’d ever been able to say, resulting in a truthful, raw and emotional musical experience. The journey through the score is one of laughter and joy; as well as being profoundly moving, as she describes in her own words what it’s truly like to be inside a brain that is wired differently.
Space Cadet is an immersive, unique concept. Izzy described the show as her way of putting an armchair inside of her brain and inviting the audience to make themselves comfortable while they get to see the world from her point of view. Engaging, bold and bursting with colour – you’re sure to see things differently once you’ve experienced Space Cadet.
This musical is breaking boundaries and challenging outdated stereotypes while sparking conversations that are long overdue. Come and experience it for yourself, be a part of the movement, while being thoroughly entertained!
It doesn’t matter how your brain works; everyone is welcome and wanted at Space Cadet, it’s where being your messy, awkward, imperfect self is accepted and celebrated. Out of the 3,000 plus shows at Edinburgh this year, there’s nothing quite like it!
You can catch Space Cadet at Just The Wee One at Just The Tonic at The Caves on August 8th – 30th (not on Tuesdays) from 10:50 (60mins). Tickets are available through the EdFringe Online Box Office.
