Irish theatremaker Ari Bhatti brings her funny, sweaty solo-performance to Dundee Fringe after successful runs at Galway Theatre Festival, Cork Fringe and Dublin Fringe Festival.

Welcome to Galway in the year 2045: an air-conditioned, indoor city where covering your skin incurs a hefty fine. The world is getting hotter, and Irish people must be naked at all times to preserve resources. While the population is concerned with having enough water to survive, this woman is concerned with no longer being able to shave her bush.
Ari Bhatti’s seriously unserious naked dance-theatre show SWEAT is set in an Ireland of the future, following one woman in her apartment as she struggles to adapt to this nude way of life.
Having been described as “a show like no other” while spotlighting an “effective onstage portrayal of dystopia and gendered experiences”. The show is a vulnerable, yet hilarious look at the climate crisis, femininity, race, Catholic guilt, pornography, shame and our relationship with naked bodies.
