A little dark, a little romantic, a little deep and a little funny, Words Are The Knife: A show about love is an immersive performance brought to you by homegrown trans BIPOC artist Đại Lâm Tait.

The show brings together his multiple talents to create a collective experience for grieving and exploring together the things we can learn from loss.

This year he has prepared a special edition of his performance to talk about heartbreak, love and madness. How can we talk to our hearts when we lose someone we love? How can two people find ways to love each other while celebrating their own madness? What can we learn from grief and madness, and how can we survive them with grace?

A custom-made altar made of organic materials gathered in the local area serves as a backdrop for the nature-inspired writings from his upcoming book, Notes for Ritual. The meditative space he creates with his sparkling presence, thoughtful words, easy jokes and stunning art gently immerses the audience in a collective experience of music-making and ritual. This intimate and magical performance is an invitation to reflect on our connection to our bodies, nature, love and the unseen.

Come along with soft and open hearts to Words Are The Knife at the Dundee Fringe on Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th September at 21:30 (30 mins),at the Sweet @ Keiller Centre. Tickets cost £5 and can be booked through the Dundee Fringe Online Box Office.
