Magic is cool – it can be breathtaking, funny, mysterious and even a little bit wicked as well.
That’s why I love it, that’s why I’ve been doing it since the age of six (when I stole my sister’s magic set), and that’s what my show is all about.
It’s fabulous to make the seemingly impossible possible, creating something from nothing.
If you join me for Almost Impossible 2.0: Martin Brock at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe you’ll be treated to world-class tricks, illusions and sleight of hand like you have never seen before.
There’s a little something for everyone I think: some really cool close-up magic that we project onto this huge screen. I do a floating illusion literally in the middle of the audience, and just lots of magic you won’t have seen before mixed with various stories from my life.
A lot of you come to the show only to try and figure out the “magic”, and sure you can do that in my show as well, but I actually do let you in on some secrets during the show. If you ever wondered how people cheat at cards in casinos or at the poker table? During my own personal favourite bit from the show, I’ll tell you exactly how they do it. Really!
I love creating magic tricks from scratch and doing shows that are completely original – right through to the music – and that feel like a full-on theatrical experience.
I also love providing electrifying entertainment that appeals to every age and taste, something everyone in your family will talk about long after the show. This is a show that you will love, so will your gran and your kids.
You can catch Almost Impossible 2.0: Martin Brock until August 24th at Bramley at Gilded Balloon at Appleton Tower from 16:30 (60mins). Tickets (£14 / £13 conc.) are available through the EdFringe Online Box Office.
