What happens when World War III breaks out and, even worse, the Cricket World Cup is cancelled?
Written and performed in 7 languages by theatre-maker Cameron Krogh Stone, Keep Calm & Bring Back the Cricket! is an absurd action comedy, and his very first solo show!
Combining multilingual misunderstandings, physical comedy, geopolitical absurdity and one ordinary man’s extraordinary determination, this show is at its heart about human connection in an increasingly disconnected world. About making sense of an increasingly nonsensical world.
Witness Cameron jump back and forth from one character and language to another as Woody MacGuffin’s ridiculous quest catapults him far beyond his comfort zone. Watch Woody stumble through linguistic and cultural quagmires, drawn heavily from Cameron’s own language-learning experiences.
On top of that, throw in clashing personalities and WAR.
A bit like the author, Woody charges on with the misplaced confidence of a man who refuses to accept that he might not be the hero of his own story. So whether you love cricket or couldn’t tell a googly from a golden duck, you’ll love Woody’s adventure and the whimsical personalities he meets along the way.
Performed mostly in English. Surtitles in English.
“Krogh Stone provide[s] plenty of laughs with their sharp delivery and bursts of physical comedy”;
“Masterful performance… an absolute powerhouse!”;
