A lighthearted sketch show with a fun and quirky twist.
In Sketch Show Bingo!, Quirks & Foibles, consisting of Amy McCann, Katie Bennett and Amelia Stephenson, have prepared an array of sketches, each linked to a different number in the bingo ball cage. As you enter the space, you are given a 2×3 bingo square and a pen, with two possible bingo’s and one possible full house dependent on which sketch comes up.
The show then follows them randomly selecting sketches and performing them, while the audience checks off in an attempt to get Bingo. The first winner of Bingo and the first winner of a full house is given the prise of a badge.
The sketches were fun, however I didn’t find them particularly memorable. It is undeniable that Quirks & Foibles are incredibly talented, and even memorising this many sketches is an amazing talent. However, I felt like the bingo had very little to do with the show overall, only adding a small dopamine hit when you got to mark a sketch off of your sheet. I felt that this could have just worked as a randomised sketch show, and I possibly would have preferred it because I wouldn’t be relying on the desire for a prize to fuel my enjoyment of the show.
This show is family friendly fun, with silliness all ages can enjoy.
Recommended Drink: Pair this with a cheeky Prossecco at Bingo Night.
Performances of Sketch Show Bingo! have now finished at EdFringe 2025.
