Don’t you just love some delightful street puppetry?
How about ten minutes of circus puppetry, including a flying elephant, cannonball, trapeze and all woven together by the playful pupeteer/showman, Eduardo Salzane.
Circo Valise is very charming and whimsical, but also incredibly technical. Circo Valise exemplifies the power of live performance. Well-paced storytelling to lure you into the world and genuinely built to be watched with your full attention. Circo Valise melts you into an inquisitive, happily-impressed audience member, from audible gag-worthy moments to silence as we become truly transfixed, dreaming within this comforting, entertaining world.
Circo Valise is exactly what you want to stumble upon on a walk! Its utter pageantry and charisma is palpable and alluring, jam packed within the design from the set to the mini figurines.
Salzane is really agile and aware with the audience, easy to have fun with and easy to follow instruction from. The puppetry itself is masterful with a playful and rhythmic quality, pacing the show from gliding elephants delivering suitcases to the comedic build up to the cannonball boom to the satisfying flipping and clipping of the feet. The elephant was a standout ethereal motif, gently guiding ten minutes of circus tricks in and out of reality. It’s the sweetest element in the whole piece and Salzane knows exactly how to land it.
Circo Valise promises to entertain you, all it asks for is ten minutes of your time.
