Step into the joyful and absurd world of “cult hero” (★★★★★ To Do List) Francisco de Nata: A Giraffe. In A G-String. With a job to do! This five-star silent clown show, praised as “the best clown show the Fringe has to offer” (★★★★★ The Student) and “a masterclass in silent clowning” (★★★★★ The Reviews Hub), is galloping up to Colchester for two nights only!
Packed full with fun audience interaction, lots of lovely chaos and yes, a very special Portuguese custard tart, Francisco invites you on a playful journey where nonsense, naughtiness, and wonder take centre stage. Tasked with painting the ceiling, his simple job very quickly unravels into something altogether more bonkers. But as the clock ticks and the paint dries, a tender and ridiculous story unfolds about this Giraffe’s love for his Avó (grandma) and the world around him.
Will it all come together before time runs out? Hot off the hooves of another exciting Edinburgh Fringe run with Underbelly, come and laugh with the Giraffe for an hour at Colchester Fringe this year! After all, “you could willingly watch paint dry with this giraffe for a long time” (★★★★★ A Young(ish) Perspective).
You can catch Francisco De Nata as part of Colchester Fringe at Headgate Theatre (Rehearsal Room) on Sun 25 October from 9:00pm and Sun 1 November from 6:00pm (60mins). Tickets are available through the Colchester Fringe Online Box Office.
